Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing patient needs, assisting in surgical procedures, and providing post-operative care, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Responsibilities
Assist surgeons in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients
Manage post-operative care and monitor patient recovery
Collaborate with surgical teams to develop patient care plans
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
Document patient information accurately and timely
Participate in team meetings and case discussions
Requirements
Current NP or PA license in the state of practice
Experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
Schedule: 7a-5p, specific dates
Weeknight and weekend call shifts available
Setting: ICU, PCU, and OR
Annual Volume: 450-500 hearts
First assist and vein harvesting required
Team Structure: 2 surgeons, 4 PAs,1 NP
Vein Harvesting System: Vasoview Hemopro 2
EMR: Meditech, eCW
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
