Surgical Technologist (CST) - Ambulatory Surgery Center Park Nicollet Health Services

is looking to hire a Surgical Tech (CST) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams as part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in Burnsville. Candidates will support growing services, providing patient care in a fast‑paced multi‑specialty Surgical Center.

Position Summary Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, collaborate with the team, and apply critical thinking, commitment, creativity, and caring to ensure safe and effective surgical support.

Work Schedule

FTE: 0.8-1.0 Flex position / Days

Variable Start Times

Variable Shift Lengths

Rotating Late Shifts

Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation

Required Qualifications

Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs:

CST

(https://nbstsa.org/examinations-cst.html) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.

NCCT (https://www.ncctinc.com/General/VerifyCertification.aspx) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 36 months of hire.

Surgical tech experience required (would consider highly motivated new grad).

Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.

Demonstrated knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Preferred Qualifications

SPD experience preferred - Cross training to Sterile Processing.

Currently validated CPR skills or BLS certification is preferred.
