The Clinical Research Coordinator 2 serves as a mid‑level clinical research professional that assists in the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating of specific clinical research studies. The role supports day‑to‑day operations of protocol implementation, coordinating study activity from initiation through close‑out in compliance with regulatory and sponsor guidelines. Core Job Functions (Responsibilities)

Assist in participant recruitment, retention, and screening for eligibility. Perform study procedures, routine tests, and data collection/recording for moderate‑risk protocols. Collect, process, pack, and ship specimens according to protocol and regulatory standards. Maintain study binders and filings per protocol, University, and department policy. Distribute study drug materials per practice standards and delegate instructions from the Principal Investigator. Monitor and document study unanticipated/adverse events and protocol deviations; follow up and report accordingly. Assist in implementing protocol amendments under supervision of the Principal Investigator. Provide study orientation and protocol‑related in‑services to the research team and clinical staff. Monitor protocol implementation, track study progress, keep investigators informed, and submit progress reports on schedule. Communicate with sponsors, data coordinating centers, compliance monitors, collaborators, investigators, and administrative personnel. Assist with orientation, competency documentation, safety education, and performance reviews for study personnel. Adhere to cultural competency guidelines and implement strategies for language translation and health literacy. Follow all international, national, and local regulatory requirements. Maintain mandatory training in safety, equality, responsible conduct of research, continuing education, and research competencies. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies to safeguard University assets. Core Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Accurate assignment completion with attention to detail. Analytical, organized, and ability to prioritize work under pressure, meeting deadlines. Confidential information handling with discretion.
