Job Summary Serves as working supervisor of the Maintenance Department, performing any combination of day‑to‑day maintenance duties to ensure NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) standards are met. Responsibilities include preventing, repairing, and maintaining NHG buildings and equipment across both indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance personnel for all interior and exterior functions throughout the buildings.
Train associates according to NHG training standards and schedule work, verify work quality, monitor productivity, and motivate staff for performance improvement.
Develop performance standards and evaluate associates’ work performance.
Prepare and verify departmental payroll information.
Inspect rooms daily to ensure NHG standards are met and preventive maintenance repairs are completed.
Originates work orders for needed repairs to guest rooms or public areas and reviews them with the Maintenance Manager.
Responsible for all duties identified in Maintenance Worker and Maintenance Worker Lead position descriptions.
Ensure security of guest rooms and assigned pass keys by logging in and out properly with key log record; report lost keys immediately.
Maintain overall upkeep and cleanliness of NHG facilities and work area as required.
Respond to all guest requests and inquiries concerning maintenance service or refer problems to the Maintenance Manager for further action.
Manage departmental budget, guest supplies, linens, towels, labor, etc., and monitor monthly expenses for staffing and supplies.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, place orders for replacement, record arrival of supplies and equipment.
Keep store rooms clean and orderly.
Ensure operating procedures comply with state and federal regulations, including OSHA and NHG standards.
Maintain accountability for issuance and control of keys.
Control inventory of associate uniforms ensuring approved uniforms and name badges are worn and maintained in proper condition.
Work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and maintain continuity in their absence.
Keep management apprised of work status assignments and advise concerning problem areas.
Carry out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicate support of these policies to subordinates.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical effort required to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel in strenuous and uncomfortable positions; frequently lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Exposed to dust, dirt, fumes, and soiling of hands and clothing.
Potential exposure to cuts and bruises.
Schedule Full‑time (35+ hours) with evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Experience Requirements General Experience:
One year of general maintenance practices involving upkeep of buildings and facilities.
Substitution of Education for Experience:
One year of high‑school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a high‑school diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
Specialized Experience:
Three years of general maintenance work involving trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, air conditioning, refrigeration, masonry, etc.
