About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established leader in the commercial construction space, is seeking an experienced
Senior Interior Construction Estimator
to join their growing team. This is a key frontline role responsible for ensuring accurate, timely cost assessments and strengthening the company’s competitive positioning through high-quality analysis, relationship-building, and strategic project involvement.
The Senior Estimator will support both preconstruction and operational teams while engaging with customers, design partners, and vendors. Project scopes range from
$50K to $27M
and include
cold-formed metal framing (CFMF), nonstructural metal framing, drywall, finishes, acoustical ceilings (ACT), insulation, and specialty scopes.
This position plays an integral role in supporting business development and ongoing growth efforts. Estimating CFMF and ACT are
required
along with experience estimating projects at a minimum of $10m.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate labor, time, and material estimates for assigned projects.
Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, scopes, and schedules.
Track and maintain historical data and cost development records, including multi-round bidding and budgeting for larger projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors throughout the bidding process.
Support the preconstruction team in establishing budgets following project awards.
Assist with vendor buyout and procurement activities.
Provide Project Managers with production rates, labor budgets, and related support.
Support operations as needed during active project phases.
Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and on-site visits as required.
Coordinate with engineers and specialty vendors to ensure accurate shop drawings.
Contribute to business development activities and strategic bid selection.
Provide leadership with forecasting, hit-rate analysis, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in construction operations with emphasis on drywall and framing.
Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings, contracts, and schedules.
Ability to interpret structural drawings to accurately determine complete CFMF needs.
Experience with panelization preferred.
Strong knowledge of industry-standard production rates, materials, and building methods.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
Minimum of
8 years of progressive estimating experience .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of project management principles and workflows.
