Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr ** Candidates must reside in South Florida to be considered. ** At this time one of world's largest Private Equity firms holding companies is expanding their accounting department. This role is open due to explosive growth. This is an opportunity for a High Potential Employee to join a worldwide leader in its vertical at the ground level. The staff accountant for a private equity (PE) holding company will be performing core accounting functions, such as posting to the general ledger, assisting with preparing financial statements, assisting with tax compliance, and reconciling accounts for the holding company. Key responsibilities include recording transactions, preparing journal entries, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and collaborating with other departments and external auditors to support financial operations and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized. Assist with Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the holding company and its underlying portfolio companies. Journal Entries:
Prepare and process journal entries for various accounting events, including accruals, deferrals, and intercompany transactions. Reconciliation:
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Audit Support:
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits by providing requested information and explanations. Compliance:
Ensure financial activities adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies. Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting is a must have. Experience: 1+ years of accounting experience. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial reporting tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve accounting issues. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports. Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Adaptability: Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic PE environment. This role is hybrid in Miami area code 33130. We offer paid Parking.
