Job Summary Part‑time Journeyman Electrician for the DOE facility in Washington, DC. This position requires or will obtain an L‑level Security Clearance. Work schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. The role is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Local 99.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform all electrical trade functions necessary to install and maintain electrical equipment.
Inspect, maintain, clean, repair, test, and adjust motors, switchgear, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, switches, master clocks, and distribution panels.
Perform preventative maintenance and service calls.
Conduct inspections.
Supervise subcontractors.
Troubleshoot electrical issues.
Qualifications
Must have a current Journeyman Electrician License in DC or MD.
Must currently have or be able to obtain an L‑Level Security Clearance.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician.
General knowledge of motors, switchgear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to work the Saturday and Sunday 11 pm – 7 am schedule.
