We are searching for a talented Surgical Technologist – Trauma Center.
$6,000 new hire sign‑on bonus
for this position (rehires more than 1 year also eligible).
Hours:
24 hrs
Shift:
Night shift, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Monday through Friday; rotating Saturday and Sunday either 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am with weekend and holiday rotation.
Location:
St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities
Position reports to the Manager, OR Service Group or designee.
Provide assistance to surgical team during the intra‑operative phase.
Provide aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment.
Responsible for OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, maintenance of sterile fields, hands‑off instruments and initiation of counts throughout procedures.
Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on‑call duties as needed.
Qualifications
Completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program.
Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists within 12 months of graduation.
Certification in Basic Life Support.
One year of related work experience is preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement upon hiring.
Compensation:
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay Range:
USD $31.98 – $47.62 per hour.
