We are seeking a Full‑time Residential Re‑Entry Specialist to support clients at the Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role.

What You’ll Do

Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift. For example, staff hired for the 4:00pm–12:00am shift must report by 3:45pm.

Conduct urinalysis.

Provide updates on any client issues and incidents.

Verify all physical items passed between shifts.

Ensure the security of facility keys.

Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot‑checks on each shift.

Conduct common‑area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.

Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.

Confiscate any contraband found and complete the incident report.

Complete house counts every hour from midnight to 8am and every two hours from 8am to 10pm, documenting results.

Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.

Conduct monthly emergency drills.

Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.

Supervise all client visitation; sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.

Complete intake for all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift and facilitate client orientation as assigned.

Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.

Monitor clients' self‑administration of medication.

Schedule Tuesday – Saturday, 4:00pm to 12:00am.

Hourly Rate $19.25–$19.92. Candidates with a minimum of six months residential experience start at $19.92 per hour. All other candidates start at $19.25 per hour, with the opportunity to move up to $19.92 after six months of uninterrupted service and demonstrated proficiency in the RRS role.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus four years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one‑year‑for‑one‑year basis.

Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role.

Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.

Attend 40 hours of FBOP required training prior to working with FBOP clients.

Strong attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license.
