About the Role Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and organized
Recreation Director
to lead our Recreation Department. You will design and oversee innovative and engaging programs that enrich the physical, mental, and emotional well‑being of our residents while ensuring all activities meet residents’ interests and comply with federal, state, and facility standards.
Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and manage diverse recreational programs tailored to residents’ needs and abilities
Promote resident participation to foster social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and emotional wellness
Ensure programs comply with regulatory standards, including facility policies and procedures
Supervise, train, and motivate recreational staff to deliver high‑quality programs
Maintain accurate documentation and assessments of residents’ interests and participation
Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must participate in facility group communications via WhatsApp
Minimum 2 years of social or recreational programming experience within the last 5 years in a nursing home setting
