An award-winning environmental and civil engineering firm is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. This role involves leading the design and implementation of civil engineering projects across residential and commercial clients, ensuring compliance with local zoning laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Develop detailed designs for civil engineering projects, including stormwater management systems, drainage, grading, and utilities.
Use advanced software tools such as Civil 3D and AutoTURN to create accurate and efficient designs.
Ensure all designs comply with local zoning laws and regulations, and obtain necessary permits.
Oversee the development of land, including the design and implementation of erosion and sediment controls.
Prepare and submit SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
Manage the design and implementation of water and sewer infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree or PE certification preferred).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil engineering with a focus on civil design, stormwater management, drainage, grading, and land development.
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and related software tools.
Strong understanding of local zoning laws and experience obtaining permits.
Experience preparing and submitting SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
Proven track record in managing water and sewer infrastructure projects.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
