Epic Trainer 2 —University of Miami
Full-Time, Staff. Pay Grade: H11. Salary current range on our site.
Join the University of Miami Health System IT Department as an Epic Trainer 2 – Central. The role supports clinical systems required for patient care and maintains integration knowledge to train staff.
Responsibilities
Participates in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
Provides end-user training on clinical systems applications supported by the IT Training department.
Develops training project plans in correlation with IT project planning and guidelines to meet implementation deadlines.
Creates lesson plans, curriculum design, training manuals, classroom exercises, competency assessment and testing, and online computer-based learning modules.
Participates in application testing, simulations, and go-live activities, including production.
Collaborates with analysts on application changes and new features to develop training strategies.
Reviews interaction with stakeholders, business community, and end-users to ensure training meets UHealth’s business/clinical needs.
Monitors project status and issues with leadership on an ongoing basis.
Analyzes, designs, builds, tests, and troubleshoots application and technical issues related to training environments (MST).
Participates in on‑call scheduling as required.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal relationship building.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to organize, prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
