Responsibilities

Function as an expert clinical nurse resource assisting team members, physicians, patients, and the community in new or complex interventions.

Act as a role model by demonstrating current trends and providing professional development opportunities for team members.

Independently develop, implement, and evaluate an educational plan to meet the needs of team members.

Actively participate in the research process and utilize information to further enhance patient care.

Function in the role of the clinical nurse specialist to nursing staff, administrators, physicians, and the community.

Facilitate patient teaching and support programs using the nursing process.

Qualifications

Current and valid RN License in the State of New Jersey required.

MSN or Master's Degree in a health-related field required.

Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required.

ACLS certification preferred.

Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification preferred.

Nurse educator experience strongly preferred.

National certification strongly preferred.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
