This position is 36 hours per week (3 12-hour shifts), rotating shifts, and requires every other weekend and holiday rotation. This position is eligible for full-time benefits.

Available shifts Full-time day or night shift
Where You’ll Work Float pool nurses rotate through a variety of areas of Medical Surgical Units, including:
2 East, 2 North, and 3 North – adult medical-surgical units caring for diverse patient populations
What You’ll Do As a Float Pool RN at BID Milton, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple medical-surgical units. Each shift, you’ll adapt quickly to new environments while ensuring safe, compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing direct patient care and making informed nursing judgments in diverse clinical settings
Systematically assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating outcomes
Coordinating care and directing assistive personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely care
Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care
Acting as a patient advocate by building trust, maintaining respect, and effectively communicating with patients and families
Assisting with specialized therapies and monitoring patients recovering from procedures, anesthesia, or moderate sedation
Demonstrating ongoing professional growth through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and unit-based competencies
Maintaining adherence to infection control standards, safety regulations, and BID Milton’s policies and procedures

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred
2+ years of nursing experience preferred
Recent acute Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred

Job Description: Pay Range:
$36.00 - $48.45
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
