Position Overview The Construction Project Engineer will support project managers and superintendents in the day-to-day administration and coordination of industrial and commercial interior buildouts. This is an excellent role for someone looking to build a strong foundation in project management, field coordination, and client-facing communication within a fast-moving GC environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Maintain Procore and other project management platforms with current drawings, logs, and correspondence.
Support bid leveling and subcontractor scope reviews during early project phases.
Coordinate material deliveries and track lead times with suppliers and subcontractors.
Perform on-site walks with superintendents and project managers to track progress and identify issues.
Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and turnover packages.
Help prepare look-ahead schedules and track critical path items.
Support client, architect, and engineer coordination through meeting prep and follow-up.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
0–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction (internships/co-ops accepted).
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and basic building systems.
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with a professional, team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to be on active job sites and learn from field operations.
