ERP Implementation Project Consultant
role at
AccruePartners .
The Team You Will Be Joining
You’ll join AccruePartners as a key consultant supporting a fast‑growing, well‑established construction and development organization headquartered in the Charlotte metro area. This company has expanded significantly over the past decade and is modernizing its financial, operational, and people systems as part of a broader digital transformation effort.
Their leadership team is hands‑on, collaborative, and committed to building scalable processes that support continued growth. AccruePartners is partnering with them to ensure the ERP transition has the structure, governance, and program discipline required for a successful go‑live.
What We Offer You
As a consultant through AccruePartners, you’ll have:
A high‑visibility engagement supporting a mission‑critical ERP implementation
Direct access to senior leadership and decision makers
An opportunity to build the foundation for an enterprise system expected to support the business for the next decade
The backing of Accrue’s delivery, PMO, and ERP advisory teams
Competitive compensation and ongoing support throughout the engagement
Where This Role Is Located
Charlotte, NC – Onsite work required for collaboration, working sessions, and access to functional stakeholders.
Why This Role Is Important
The client is transitioning off a legacy, small‑business‑oriented platform and implementing a full Sage ERP ecosystem—finance, accounting, HRIS, payroll, and CRM. This move is foundational to their next phase of scale.
The internal team is lean and highly engaged in day‑to‑day operations, so they need an experienced ERP Project Manager who can own planning, structure, data readiness, coordination with the integrator, and milestone execution. Without this dedicated PMO oversight, go‑live risk is significant given the aggressive timeline (April 1, 2026) and the breadth of functional areas being integrated.
You will be the force that keeps the implementation on track, on budget, and aligned with the company’s goal of minimizing customization so the system is stable and upgradable for the next 10 to 15 years.
What You Will Do
Lead the end‑to‑end ERP project plan including scope, timeline, critical path, interdependencies, and risk mitigation
Drive all readiness efforts: data mapping, data cleanup, conversion sequencing, and validation activities
Coordinate with Sage and any external integration partners to ensure clarity of deliverables, hours utilization, change requests, and budget tracking
Facilitate solution design workshops, ensuring the business aligns processes to out‑of‑the‑box capabilities and avoids unnecessary customization
Create and manage reporting, dashboards, milestone updates, steering committee materials, and status documentation
Support simulation, UAT, and cutover planning for the March testing window and April go‑live
Work directly with Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to ensure decisions are made on time and risks are escalated appropriately
Serve as the bridge between the business and technical/integration teams to maintain alignment and prevent scope drift
Establish governance workflows that support long‑term stability, future upgrades, and potential phased rollouts
How You Are Qualified
7+ years of ERP project management experience with implementations across Finance/Accounting and cross‑functional business units
Experience managing projects that involve moving from small‑business or mid‑market accounting platforms to enterprise‑class ERPs
Proven ability to keep timelines, budget, and scope controlled when internal teams have limited bandwidth
Strong understanding of data readiness, mapping, and conversion best practices
Background in coordinating with integrators, managing buckets of hours, and proactively controlling project burn
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work daily with senior leadership and functional SMEs
Construction, field‑services, project‑driven, or similarly operationally intensive industry experience is a plus but not required
Demonstrated success standardizing processes and implementing low‑customization solutions to ensure clean upgrade paths
Hybrid
Work may involve occasional travel.
