Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience (experience with a multi-site operator is a plus). Degree in Accounting preferred. Experience managing a team of 2 to 3 AP Specialists Experience processing invoices and completing payment runs Strong understanding of 3-way match and Purchase Orders Able to review expense reports, assist employees and properly assign GL accounts to expenditures Manage monthly closing of AP, reconcile statements, and assist with the annual audit. Participate in the month end close process including analyzing the monthly income statement for transactions booked in the right period. Oversee internal reimbursement of credit cards Responsible for preparing and issuing 1099’s, along with improving the process. Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts. Jointly develop and initiate with the team and other departments cross functional process improvements Help implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Knowledge of debits and credits Strong MS Excel skills including vlookups, tables and pivot charts, and ability to analyze data. Handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. Work with vendors/employees at all levels promptly and professionally, and work in a team-oriented environment. Able to problem-solve, perform research, create reports, and take on ad-hoc requests Seniority level
