Oil & Gas Senior Revenue Accountant
Location: Denver, CO
Compensation: $40.00-$50.00 an hour (Illinois, Massachusetts, or Colorado)
Responsibilities
Create or maintain records of financial transactions for upstream oil and gas clients using various accounting systems.
Perform daily bookkeeping: reconcile sub‑ledger to general ledger account balances, reconcile and balance accounts.
Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system.
Provide support for audits by external entities, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested.
May record AP, Joint Interest Billing, and Revenue transactions for oil and gas clients as needed.
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and revenue, potentially preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Verify contracts, orders, and vouchers and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
Qualifications
Associate degree in accounting or a related field (required).
4+ years of full‑charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience (required).
Experience in account reconciliations and general ledger experience (required).
Experience with BOLO, EnergyLink, and OpenInvoice is preferred.
Experience in upstream oil and gas is preferred.
Ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
Enjoy complex and challenging project work and willing to work on a variety of strategic, financial, and operational projects.
Ability to successfully interact with clients and other professionals to effectively deliver quality professional services to clients.
This is a non‑exempt position; hours may exceed the standard 40‑hour work week.
