Vice President for Administration and Finance
Lehman College, a senior college of The City University of New York (CUNY) located in the Bronx, invites applications for the position of Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Position Details
Responsible for managing operating and capital budgets, pursuing innovative business solutions, and leading financial planning and budgeting.
Oversees six major units: Budget and Planning; Campus Planning and Facilities; Environmental Health and Safety; Financial Operations; Human Resources; and Public Safety.
Acts as the College’s Chief Financial Officer and provides fiscal guidance to the President and executive staff.
Coordinates with the City University system, government agencies, and external entities on fiscal, administrative, and operational matters.
Demonstrates continuous improvement through re‑engineering work processes, technology solutions, and best practices.
Provides strategic leadership aligned with the College’s mission, fostering a culture of customer service and quality services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of related experience; advanced degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or higher education administration preferred.
Progressively responsible senior executive experience in higher education, government, or a comparable business organization.
Experience in a publicly funded urban higher education institution and knowledge of New York State operations and capital budgeting processes is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership skills, integrity, work ethic, and an innovative, entrepreneurial, collegial style.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and team‑building skills with a record of developing high‑performing environments.
CUNY Title Vice President
Compensation and Benefits Salary commensurate with education and experience, $200,000 – $218,027. CUNY benefits include health plans, retirement/pension benefits, tuition waivers for CUNY graduate study, and generous paid time off.
