A well-established and growing electrical contractor in the Miami, FL area is currently seeking a skilled
Electrical Estimator
to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a dynamic work environment, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical estimating and proven experience using estimating software.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects (healthcare, hospitality, data centers, institutional, and more)
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to understand project requirements and scopes of work
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Participate in value engineering and cost-saving analysis
Maintain and organize historical cost data and estimate documentation
Assist in bid strategy meetings and provide post-bid support as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the commercial construction industry
Proficiency in Accubid estimating software is a plus
Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC code, and commercial construction methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines
