Position Overview

I’m representing a global leader in precision and motion technology seeking an experienced technical commercial professional to drive growth with key OEM customers in the Life Sciences, Diagnostics, and Semiconductor sectors.

We are hiring a Head of Key Account Management to lead strategic OEM relationships, own long‑term revenue growth, and guide customer strategy in a hybrid based role located in the wider Boston area.

This position blends technical insight with strategic account leadership and cross‑functional program management, playing a pivotal role in shaping customer roadmaps and driving design‑in opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Own and develop strategic relationships across key OEM accounts.

Build multi‑level customer engagement and execute tailored account plans.

Identify and lead design‑in opportunities early in the customer development cycle.

Translate technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions.

Apply value‑engineering principles to optimize cost, manufacturability, and performance.

Lead cross‑functional teams to meet customer requirements throughout program lifecycles.

Ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved.

Manage forecasting, pipeline activity, and revenue performance for assigned accounts.

Support pricing, quoting, and commercial negotiations in partnership with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences, or related technical field (MBA/advanced degree a plus).

7+ years in OEM technical sales, key account management, or business development.

Experience with motion control, mechatronics, automation subsystems, or related technologies.

Understanding of workflows in life sciences, diagnostics, or semiconductor equipment.

Proven ability to lead complex, long‑cycle OEM programs.

Strong communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.

Organized, self‑directed, and effective in remote work environments.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.
