Program/Project Coordinator – Family & Women Wellness Location: Artesia, CA (In-Person)

Reports To: Program Manager

Status: Full-Time

About Saahas for Cause Saahas for Cause is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering South Asian and immigrant communities in Los Angeles County through culturally sensitive services. Our Family & Women Wellness chapter focuses on domestic violence prevention and intervention, mental health, family strengthening, and wellness programs.

Position Overview The Program/Project Coordinator will play a key role in delivering domestic violence prevention and intervention services for immigrant women and families. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma‑informed care, cultural competence, and experience working with survivors of violence. The Coordinator will provide direct services including case management, safety planning, resource navigation, and referrals, while also supporting project implementation, community outreach, and grant‑related documentation.

Key Responsibilities Direct Services & Case Management

Provide trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered case management to victims of domestic violence.

Conduct needs assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention.

Provide warm referrals and coordinate services with internal teams and external partners.

Maintain confidential, accurate, and timely case notes and records.

Program & Project Coordination

Coordinate program activities under domestic violence prevention and intervention grants.

Work closely with the case management team, legal team, and project staff to ensure integrated service delivery.

Assist in program evaluation, data collection, and grant reporting requirements.

Support outreach strategies to increase access to services among South Asian immigrant women.

Community Outreach & Education

Conduct outreach in the community, including workshops, presentations, resource fairs, and wellness events.

Build relationships with community partners, faith leaders, and local organizations to strengthen referral pathways.

Develop culturally relevant educational materials, resources, and awareness content for women’s wellness and DV prevention.

Documentation & Grant Support

Maintain complete client files in accordance with funder and agency requirements.

Assist with grant reporting, documentation, and tracking of deliverables.

Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with victims/survivors of domestic violence or related trauma.

Strong understanding of trauma‑informed care, crisis intervention, and survivor‑centered approaches.

Fluent in Hindi or another South Asian language (required).

Knowledge of South Asian cultural dynamics, family systems, and barriers to help‑seeking.

Familiarity with social services systems, legal resources, and DV response protocols.

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Experience with community outreach and public education.

Ability to work collaboratively with caseworkers, legal advocates, clinicians, and external partners.

Basic understanding of grant‑funded program requirements and reporting (preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; comfort with databases and case management software is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Women’s Studies, or related field.

Prior experience in nonprofit or community‑based organization settings.

Certification in domestic violence advocacy (strong plus).

Work Environment This is an in‑person role based out of the Artesia office. Some local travel within LA County for outreach or client support may be required.
