Senior Solutions Architect (contract)

Job Summary: As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a critical within the Architecture Hub, partnering with senior stakeholders, development teams, and cross-functional partners to design, implement, and influence enterprise-level technology solutions. This hybrid contract role requires deep technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and hands‑on experience to guide strategy, mentor developers, and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative architectures. The position expects 4 days onsite in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture: Partner with Engagement Managers and stakeholders to analyze process flows, redesign processes, and document solution architecture aligned to enterprise standards.
Technical Documentation: Produce functional design and technical specifications that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Leadership: Lead design and solutioning meetings with Technical Architects and developers, providing hands‑on guidance and mentoring.
Best Practices & Recommendations: Advise on architectural best practices, alternative solutions, and trade-offs; influence senior stakeholders to adopt scalable, secure solutions.
Integration & Compliance: Support integration across platforms, legacy systems, and enterprise platforms, ensuring adherence to security, resiliency, and regulatory requirements.
Emerging Technology Adoption: Stay current with AI, cloud, and integration technologies to enhance processes and solution delivery.
Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to training, documentation, and cross‑team knowledge sharing within the Architecture Hub.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in solutions architecture.
Full‑stack development expertise, particularly in Java/J2EE.
Hands‑on experience with modern databases, integration software, and APIs (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
Proven ability to design web‑based architectures, enterprise applications, and service‑oriented solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
Project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
Ability to perform code reviews and mentor development teams.
Proficiency in Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.
Familiarity with frameworks such as Struts, Spring, and Hibernate.
Preferred:
Financial services or large‑scale enterprise experience.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, security frameworks, and AI applications in development.
Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or AI‑related credentials.

Pay Rate Range
Min $82.22 per hour, Max $110.27 per hour, USD hourly.
