Job Description As an EPIC Applications Analyst Level 2 you will implement, configure, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications, including the electronic health record (EHR) and clinical decision support systems. You will work closely with clinical end‑users, IT staff, and vendors to optimize workflows, ensure usability and efficiency, and meet regulatory and user requirements. Your responsibilities will also include system testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and support for Epic software upgrades.
Responsibilities
Implement, configure, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications.
Collaborate with clinical end‑users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows.
Participate in system testing and validation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Participate in testing and validation activities related to Epic software upgrades and enhancements.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications, providing timely resolution.
Keep up‑to‑date with solutions in the Epic system or other clinical applications.
Work collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives.
Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
Participate in rounding in collaboration with clinical and business end‑users.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience; Associate’s degree with 2 years, or 3 years of healthcare or IT experience.
Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
Epic Certification required (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central).
Occasional travel may be required.
Experience communicating verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience implementing and supporting clinical software applications.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff.
Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred.
