Overview

This role will primarily support supply chain operations, focusing on the procurement of goods and services. In addition, you’ll assist with transactions across other business units, including those tied to battery solutions and energy storage products. It’s a unique opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to play a key role in advancing the global shift toward sustainable energy within a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.

This is a fully onsite role!! IN STAFFORD, TX

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements independently to support business needs.

Oversee a high volume of contracts, including supply, licensing, technical, warranty, development, services, confidentiality, consulting, and materials agreements.

Review redlines, guide negotiations, and provide practical advice to business stakeholders.

Advise on strategic, regulatory, and transactional matters impacting supply chain and other business units.

Manage contract disputes, including drafting and responding to breach of contract claims.

Develop and maintain standard contract templates to streamline operations.

Identify and assess legal and operational risks, communicating them effectively to the General Counsel.

Collaborate with global colleagues to ensure consistency in contract terms and risk allocation across the organization.

Handle additional legal matters as needed to support the business.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor and active license to practice law in Texas.

At least 8 years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm and in‑house practice.

Exceptional communication skills, with business‑level fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin, German, or other languages is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate issues, drive projects forward, and deliver pragmatic legal and business solutions.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Quick learner with strong analytical skills, adaptability, and comfort navigating ambiguity.

High ethical standards, integrity, and sound judgment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong relationship‑building abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and contract redlining tools.

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
