Associate Technical Program Manager Hybrid 3 days per week onsite - Greater Boston Area

Pay: $50 - $60.00 per hour

12 Months Contract to Hire

Our client is seeking an Associate Technical Program Manager to lead smaller or less complex technology initiatives and support the execution of a broader transformation roadmap. This role requires strong technical acumen, comfort working in a dynamic environment, and the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams. The ideal candidate has experience coordinating delivery efforts, driving alignment, and supporting Agile program governance.

Job Description

Manage multiple smaller programs spanning several business lines, ensuring alignment to organizational strategic and technical goals.

Build and deliver Jira/Confluence dashboards to support portfolio-level reporting.

Produce key KPIs to assess program health, highlight risks, and identify improvement opportunities; ensure alignment of cost vs. benefit to maximize ROI.

Support the development of portfolio metrics and reporting for leadership.

Own the full development and execution lifecycle from ideation through deployment and operational readiness.

Provide program-level reporting, Agile framework execution, and required artifacts and presentations on milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.

Partner with sponsors, transformation leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure visibility and alignment.

Participate in defining best practices, templates, guidelines, and tools to mature delivery capabilities across the transformation team.

Contribute to vendor evaluations, RFPs, and business case development for technology initiatives.

Build trusted relationships with product owners, SMEs, and technical partners.

Establish consistent checkpoints with stakeholders to provide updates, facilitate decisions, and elevate issues as needed.

Support governance, process improvement opportunities, automation, and broader digital roadmap initiatives.

Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field OR 10+ years of progressive technical experience (Master's preferred).

3+ years of technical project or program management experience using Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC methodologies.

3+ years of structured technology delivery experience with success building Jira/Confluence dashboards.

5+ years of experience in financial services or related regulated industries with strong exposure to technology teams (preferred).

Strong foundation in technology delivery: financial management, metrics reporting, stakeholder coordination, and resource management.

Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to work across teams and levels of leadership.

Proven ability to solve problems in partnership with engineering, architecture, and development teams.

Experience preparing and presenting materials to senior leadership.

Ability to work independently, manage competing demands, and adapt to change.

Experience engaging and motivating diverse teams in a matrixed environment.

Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, and other collaborative tools.

Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as CRM, loan origination/servicing systems, or core banking systems is a plus.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification required.
