Job Summary Responsible for the overall leadership, management, and profitability of the assigned branch. Manages daily operations of a full‑service branch—including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, and security—in accordance with branch objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee, lead, and direct branch sales, operations, and regulatory compliance to meet lending, deposit, and fee income goals.
Manage staff, including performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, and disciplinary action.
Provide suitable credit, deposit, and other banking services while advising clients to meet their needs.
Develop and implement programs to maximize profitability, minimize risk, and improve customer service and product knowledge.
Manage and grow Business Banking portfolio, driving results through business development and community engagement.
Analyze risk and profitability of assigned client portfolio to ensure ongoing profitability and conformity with credit terms.
Ensure successful processing, underwriting, and approval of loans within assigned limits.
Build and maintain internal and external relationships (e.g., community, center of influence) to acquire and expand clients.
Stay informed on industry trends, maintain strong business acumen, and serve as a community organization leader.
Negotiate loan terms in line with bank policy.
Review branch reports for compliance and accuracy.
Oversee community development, relations, and marketing activities.
Communicate and review business results with internal partners, managing operational, human capital, reputational, and business risk.
Guide staff on identifying and gathering required information for Customer Information Program (CIP) and Due Diligence.
Maintain security controls for currency and negotiable instruments; monitor BSA/AML reporting and record‑keeping.
Adhere to all federal and state regulations, including BSA, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, Elder Abuse Law, and wage/revenue compliance.
Detect Suspicious Activity and file required reports.
Support compliance efforts by completing training and ensuring staff do the same.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 7 years in a commercial lending/business banking role.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
Expert knowledge of business credit underwriting; experience with deposit and cash management products preferred.
Knowledge of all bank products, operating policies, and procedures.
Proficiency with bank operating systems and computer applications.
Ability to analyze reports, metrics, and other data to identify trends and opportunities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage all levels.
Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, prospects, and referral sources.
