A growing HVAC and Plumbing company is searching for an experienced Assistant General Manager in Colorado. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the overall management and leadership of a growing HVAC and Plumbing branch office. This includes overseeing daily operations, sales development, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing financial performance, and leading a team of residential HVAC and Plumbing technicians, sales, and support staff. The Assistant General Manager will develop strategies to improve operational efficiency, drive sales growth, and maintain a high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management
Provide leadership and direction to field and office staff, ensuring a positive work environment and high levels of employee engagement.
Develop and coach employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
Implement strategic and tactical changes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase sales, and ensure quality workmanship. Foster continual improvement and a culture that engages employees in improving operations using technology, processes, and tools.
Operational and Sales Oversight
Oversee day-to-day operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Implement and monitor operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
Sales and Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve branch sales targets. Identify new business opportunities and expand the branch’s customer base.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotions that will grow business.
Customer Service
Ensure the client services team maintains high customer service standards; address escalated customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customers and vendors. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on their input.
Manage the branch budget, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to achieve financial goals.
Drive results and ensure accountability across the team to ensure the achievement of project revenue and gross profit targets.
Qualifications
Education and/or experience equivalent to a college degree and/or 10+ years of experience in distributed field service, construction, or home services with 5+ years related supervisory experience. 5+ years’ experience in HVAC and/or Plumbing.
Knowledge of field service principles and practices, including service price/hour estimation, labor forecasting, technician dispatching, etc.
Preferred experience includes direct or indirect experience within service-based HVAC, Plumbing or other high-skill technical trade.

Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary starting from 150K+
Annual bonus paying up to 30% of annual salary.
