CACI is seeking a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design, integration and process automation and improvement. Must also be well versed in Network, storage, Azure AD and Intune. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing, implementing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self‑starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who excels as an individual as well as among peers in a team environment. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills. Responsibilities
In addition to architecting and designing, the VDI Engineer will provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues. Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies. Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble‑resolution tasks related to Virtual Desktop. Maintain advanced knowledge of administration, engineering and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure‑related technologies. Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders. Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines. Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and "make‑buy" decisions. Required Qualifications
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) Master's degree and 10 years of experience OR total 19 years of experience Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage and Virtual Desktops Experience managing and administering Windows Servers Experience with Azure AD, Intune, FSLogix Experience with Nerdio Experience in VDI profile management Endpoint protection, policy management and application of STIGs AVD integration with Office 365 services Desktop software provisioning and support services Collaborate and work well in a team environment Desired Qualifications
Experience (1+ years’) with any or all of these products or technologies: MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, MDM solutions Experience (1+ years’) with setup and integration with IIS, SQL Server Experience (2+ years’) with Azure Security Tools (e.g. Sentinel) What You Can Expect
