The Opportunity CACI is seeking an AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration, process automation, and improvement. Must also be well versed in Network, storage, Azure AD and Intune.
We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing, implementing, and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who excels both individually and as part of a team. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills.
Responsibilities
In addition to architecting and designing, the VDI Engineer will provide tier 3/4 support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues.
Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks related to virtual desktops.
Maintain advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
Operate across multiple complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines.
Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and make/buy decisions.
Qualifications Required:
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD)
Master's degree + 7 years experience OR 16 years of experience
Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage and Virtual Desktops
Experience managing and administering Windows Servers
Experience with Azure AD, Intune, FSLogix
Experience in VDI profile management
Endpoint protection, policy management, and application of STIGs
AVD integration with Office 365 services
Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
Collaborate and work well in a team environment
Desired:
Some experience (1+ years) with MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, MDM solutions
Some experience (1+ years) setting up and integrating with IIS, SQL Server
Some experience (2+ years) with Azure Security Tools (e.g. Sentinel)
Experience with Nerdio

Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
