EHS Lead
Position Summary
The EHS Lead oversees all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance, minimize risk, and promote a strong safety culture.
Location : Fairfield County, CT
Direct Hire : Yes
Workplace : 100% Onsite
Pay : $120k-140k (10% annual bonus)
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage EHS policies, procedures, and training across all locations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Lead safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
Develop and track EHS metrics, reports, and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with site leadership and serve as liaison with regulatory agencies.
Manage emergency preparedness and behavior-based safety programs.
Supervise and mentor EHS staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
Knowledge of OSHA and ISO 45001; CSP, CIH, or NEBOSH certification preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
