Software Engineer IV – Lockheed Martin
We invite you to join the Lockheed Martin team as a Software Engineer IV, working on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63‑year‑old program with a long‑standing history of mission success and a strong partnership with our Navy customer.
Location & Work Arrangement This position does not support teleworking. You will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral, FL, and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time. Relocation services are not provided.
Key Activities You Will Accomplish
Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation, and scalability.
Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.
Qualifications
Programming experience in one or more of C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, Java, or TestStand.
+5 years of professional experience for this role.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills
Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management.
Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP).
Experience working with RF.
Experience with multiple OS platforms such as Linux and Windows.
Systems thinking mindset.
Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture.
Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets.
Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
Strong communication, social, and problem‑resolution skills.
