Job Overview Infrastructure Developer within the Mainframe Network Space - Focus on security/encryption. This role involves security around the network, running upgrades in mainframe space, and experience with mainframe modernization and migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and understand crypto data and encryption within the mainframe environment.
Lead and coordinate projects, demonstrating strong communication skills.
Run upgrades and manage mainframe modernization initiatives.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Understanding of ICFS, Network Security on the Mainframe, and zERT.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting cryptography (NIST 800-53, ISO).
Experience with mainframe network products and protocols (z/OS, VTAM, TCP/IP, APPN, IPSEC).
Demonstrated experience with cryptographic protocols, including Post‑Quantum Cryptography and quantum‑safe algorithms (lattice‑based, hash‑based, code‑based).
Proficiency in scripting and automation (REXX, JCL, Python) is a huge plus, not must have.
