SW Test Architect
Location Bethpage, NY (Onsite; relocation acceptable)
Employment Type Contract
Responsibilities
Deep Telecom BSS/OSS Domain Expertise, especially within Amdocs billing and ordering ecosystems including Kenan, CES, and Order Management systems.
Define the overall testing strategy, not just execute tests: create test frameworks, test approaches, and test plans.
Lead end‑to‑end testing across multiple systems and ensure comprehensive test coverage across ordering, billing, activation, and provisioning.
Develop expertise in device activation and provisioning test scenarios: SIM and handset activation, feature provisioning, network provisioning APIs, middleware triggers, and back‑end log validation.
Own end‑to‑end validation for new features, migrations, and system modernization efforts, acting as the testing SME for large telecom transformation programs.
Guide cross‑functional teams (development, QA, architecture, operations) to align test strategy with business requirements.
Maintain an in‑depth understanding of telecom end‑to‑end flows including customer onboarding, order capture, orchestration, provisioning, activation, rating, charging, billing, and product catalog impacts.
Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with key telecom products such as Amdocs Kenan, CES, Ensemble, SVO, and Provisionsing systems.
Strong background in test architecture and advanced test design.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional testing initiatives within telecom environments.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex telecom workflows and test deliverables.
Previous experience in contract or short‑term engagements is acceptable.
