Join EY’s global consulting team to drive digital transformation across procurement functions by leading end‑to‑end implementation and optimization of SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing solutions.

The opportunity The SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing Implementation Lead will be responsible for leading end‑to‑end implementation and optimization of SAP Ariba solutions, specifically focused on Buying and Invoicing modules. This role will drive digital transformation across procurement functions, ensuring seamless integration with SAP ECC/S4 systems and alignment with business goals. In this role, you will interact with business stakeholders to evaluate business models, processes, and operations, gather, understand, and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and analyze newly implemented technology solutions to ensure they meet business requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead workstream delivery and ensure effective management of processes and solutions.

Track deliverable completion and project status, ensuring alignment with performance objectives.

Actively participate in client working sessions, leading workstreams from planning through execution and closure.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Ability to lead SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing implementations from blueprinting through go‑live and post‑deployment support.

Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and develop process flows and functional specifications.

Configure SAP Ariba modules and manage integration with SAP ECC/S4 and third‑party systems.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including IT, finance, operations, and external consultants.

Monitor adoption and performance of the Ariba solution, identifying areas for improvement and driving compliance.

Maintain SAP Ariba documentation and roadmap, incorporating quarterly product updates and enhancements.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

Raise and manage service requests with SAP Ariba support when product issues arise.

Possess strong analytical skills to develop solutions to complex problems.

Proven ability to manage engagement economics and resource planning.

Experience in leading teams and managing change effectively.

Identify opportunities for additional services and lead specific RFP responses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (4‑year degree).

Typically, no less than 4‑6 years relevant experience implementing SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Guided Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, SLP and Supplier Risk.

Proven track record of leading at least two full lifecycle SAP Ariba implementations.

Experience with waterfall and agile implementation methodologies.

Team Lead experience, having led a team of SAP Ariba consultants.

Strong understanding of procurement best practices and source‑to‑pay processes.

Experience with SAP ECC/S4 integration and ability to diagnose integration issues.

Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Experience with supplier enablement programs and catalog development.

Familiarity with audit processes and internal controls related to procurement systems.

Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong personal and professional values; entrepreneurial spirit.

Ideal Additional Qualifications

SAP Ariba P2P certification.

Experience with complex delivery programs involving multiple parties.

Background in developing and delivering SAP Ariba training programs and supporting change management programs.

Experience with AI, including SAP Joule.

Experience integrating tax engines with SAP Ariba.

Experience supporting sales and business development.

Experience in managing client relationships and expectations.

Strong background in technology analysis and implementation.

Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary range $142,600 to $261,500 (US locations) and higher ranges for major markets. Total Rewards include medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
