Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant / Finance Lead for a 6-month contract-to-permanent engagement. This individual will oversee core accounting operations while driving financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives across the firm and its portfolio companies. The role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to transition into a long-term finance leadership position.
Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management across multiple entities.
Partner with executives and portfolio company leadership to analyze financial results and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, compliance frameworks, and financial policies.
Coordinate activities with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
Provide strategic financial insights to support business planning and investment decisions.
Mentor, support, and guide junior finance team members across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within investment management, private equity, or multi-entity organizations.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience with financial modeling, strategic analysis, and multi-entity consolidations.
Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and work closely with executive leadership.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-development skills.
