Description
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain
high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines
for structured and unstructured data.
Develop and optimize
data models , curated datasets, and data transformations for analytics and reporting.
Work extensively with
SQL , stored procedures, performance tuning, and data validation.
Implement and manage
data ingestion workflows
from multiple internal and external sources.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Application Teams to support data needs.
Build and maintain
data lakes, data warehouses , and metadata documentation.
Work on
cloud platforms
like AWS, Azure, or GCP (Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, etc.).
Implement
data quality rules , governance, lineage, and monitoring frameworks.
Develop batch and real-time data pipelines using
Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies .
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation , architecture diagrams, and deployment scripts.
Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and optimize systems for scalability and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
5 years
of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
Strong expertise in
SQL , data modeling, and performance optimization.
Hands‑on experience with
ETL/ELT tools
(Informatica, Talend, DBT, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc.).
Experience with
Python
or
Scala
for data processing and automation.
Experience with
big data frameworks : Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive.
Familiarity with
streaming technologies : Kafka, Kinesis, EventHub.
Strong experience in one or more
cloud data platforms :
AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR)
Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks)
GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
Knowledge of
data warehousing concepts
(Kimball, Star/Snowflake schema).
Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
and version control (Git).
Experience working in Agile development environments.
