Fulltime Job – Sr. Technical Manager – Data and Analytics

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale enterprise data pipeline and analytics projects. This pivotal role requires a unique blend of technical understanding, exceptional program management acumen, and a proven track record in client-facing consulting environments.

You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex data initiatives, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. You will navigate diverse technical landscapes, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS), while managing client expectations and project scope.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple large-scale, complex enterprise data pipeline and analytics programs.

Possess a strong understanding of data engineering principles, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and business intelligence.

Demonstrate hands-on experience and a strong understanding of data services and architectures across Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks), Microsoft Fabric, GCP (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc), and AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR).

Consult and manage client relationships and stakeholder communications.

Scope and budget management.

Implement and refine best practices for data pipeline and analytics development, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, architects, and business analysts, to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.

Contribute to pre-sales activities, including Statement of Work (SOW) creation, effort estimation, and solution design.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in technical program or project management focused on large-scale data and analytics initiatives.

Extensive experience managing projects within a consulting or professional services environment, demonstrating strong client-facing skills, scope management, and budget control.

Track record of successfully delivering complex data pipeline and analytics solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure (including Fabric, Synapse), GCP, and AWS.

Deep understanding of methods, processes, and technologies involved in developing robust and scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions.

Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall; PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, ConnectWise, ServiceNow, JIRA) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.

Oracle ERP experience is a plus.

Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
