Senior Java Developer Career Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in contact center solutions, is looking for a dynamic, high‑energy individual to join their Workforce Management (WFM) software development team as a Senior Software Engineer. This engineer will primarily focus on server‑side component design, development, testing, and implementation. Client‑side development experience is a plus. The role operates in an Agile development environment and follows all Agile processes and practices.
Senior Java Developer Role and Responsibilities
Design and develop quality, well‑documented technical solutions that satisfy business requirements and meet corporate architectural standards.
Develop solid unit, integration, and automation tests according to organizational standards.
Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of existing software applications; identify and implement additional improvements when warranted; work with external stakeholders as needed.
Develop technical models and design for assigned components.
Contribute to and drive technological and architectural decisions.
Participate in reviewing design and code for other team members.
Elevate team performance by recognizing strengths and improvement areas, providing coaching and development techniques.
Work with Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
Senior Java Developer Required Skills and Qualification
Minimum of 7+ years of professional Java web application development.
Expertise in server‑side development using Hibernate, Spring, and RESTful Web Services in Java, including server‑side testing with JUnit, Mockito/EasyMock.
Experience with AWS is a plus.
Familiarity with AI‑Assisted Development tools (e.g., Carousel, Copilot, Windsurf AI).
Demonstrated experience with multi‑tier web application development.
Hands‑on experience with Continuous Integration and Test‑Driven Development.
Experience with JBoss or Tomcat.
Prior experience with Maven and Jenkins is a plus.
Good knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
