Job Overview Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for multiple Athletics Statistician positions. This role assists the athletics communications staff in the keeping of live statistics at athletic events. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the program is part of a member of the Ivy League with 34 varsity teams and a total of approximately 1,000 athletes. All employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and compliance with NCAA and Ivy League rules. Any violations must be reported to the compliance office.

Responsibilities

Input or call every statistical occurrence at athletic events using either the stat crew or Genius Stats

Assist athletic communications staff with other game‑day needs as they arise

Submit stat packages to NCAA, conference offices, and competing teams

Qualifications

Knowledge of or willingness to learn both stat crew and Genius Stats systems

Ability to work quickly and accurately under extreme time pressure

Comprehensive knowledge of sports rules and regulations

Knowledge of Ivy League and NCAA game protocol

Ability to interact with game officials, athletic communications staff, event management staff, and marketing and promotions staff

Ability to observe and react quickly to events on the field/court/athletic venue to accurately input all game stats

Commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment

Successful completion of a criminal and education background check
