Position Description Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery - Plastic Surgeon
Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full‑time, academic plastic and reconstructive surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Additional training in microsurgery is preferred. Applicant’s materials must list eligible or pending qualifications upon submission.
Primary clinical responsibilities will be in general plastic and microsurgical reconstruction at UC Health locations including Parnassus, St. Francis, and Mt. Zion campuses. The position will also include support as the wound‑care director at the UC Parnassus campus and call responsibility at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, in addition to other UCSF Health locations.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs. UCSF seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and community service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence.
Salary will be determined by the posted UCSF salary scales. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
