Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Plastic Surgeon
The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic plastic and reconstructive surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with preferred additional training in microsurgery. Applicants' materials must list eligible and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
Position Description Primary clinical responsibilities will be in general plastic and microsurgical reconstruction at UC Health locations including Parnassus, St. Francis and Mt. Zion campuses. Additionally, this position will include support as the wound‑care director at the UC Parnassus campus. The candidate will also support call responsibility at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and other UCSF Health locations.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.
UC San Francisco seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and community services have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 – $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
