Information Systems Security Engineer (Multiple Levels)

Information Technology Full time TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required Up to 10% local travel. Responsibilities Facilitate sub?projects through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation life cycle. Support periodic system security scans as required by policy and RMF. Validate and verify system security requirement definitions and analyze system security designs. Perform technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies for non?compliance with IA standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline. TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Level?specific experience information: Level 1:

7 years as an ISSE (or 11 years without a BA); DoD 8140.03 compliance with IASAE Level 2. Level 2:

14 years as an ISSE (or 18 years without a BA); DoD 8140.03 compliance with IASAE Level 2 and CISSP certification. Level 3:

20 years as an ISSE (or 24 years without a BA); DoD 8140.03 compliance with IASAE Level 3, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP certifications; a Masters degree may substitute for two years of experience (bringing requirement to 18 years).

Nice?to?Have Qualifications

Experience reviewing network diagrams, device configurations, VPN termination points and software TLS security. Maintenance of flexible RMF review of secure networks to assess and prescribe counter?measures for secure communications (analog radio, mobile cellular, remote kits, VPN solutions, VDI technologies). Application of security frameworks (CIS benchmarks, FIPS 140?2, DISA STIGs, CNSA cryptographic suite). Participation as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for design, development, implementation, or integration of secure network, computing, and enclave environments. Design, development, and implementation of IA architectures, systems, or components. Support of Government enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures. Application of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design and implement secure environments. Support of security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management. Identification of overall security requirements for proper handling of Government data. Design of system or network environments encompassing multiple enclaves with varying data protection/classification requirements. Recommendation of system?level solutions to resolve security requirements.
