Sr. Manager, Search and Recruiting - SDL Search Partners Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client; a dynamic private equity firm in the Boston area. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of handling high-volume transactions while collaborating across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, data verification, approval coordination, and timely payment processing
Respond to and resolve inquiries related to invoice status, discrepancies, and related policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Tax, to ensure alignment on payments and compliance
Support month-end closing activities and assist with reconciliations as needed
Partner with external service providers to coordinate processing and audit activities
Assist with special projects or process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support internal and external audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of hands‑on accounts payable experience in a corporate or financial services environment
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Workday, AppZen, or Tableau is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem‑solving abilities and independent judgment
