Overview
SDL is partnering with a privately held real estate investment firm located in the heart of Boston’s Financial District, seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close procedures. While prior accounts payable experience is nice to have, it is not required—a background in office administration or similar roles will be sufficient, as long as you’re organized, detail-focused, and open to learning. Responsibilities
Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices Match invoices with purchase orders and contracts as needed Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions Assist with monthly reconciliations and support the accounting team during month-end close Communicate with internal departments to ensure proper invoice approvals Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries Qualifications
1–3 years of accounts payable or general office administration experience Experience in real estate, property management, or related industry preferred, not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and software systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This is an in-office role based in our Boston office, conveniently located near public transportation. Over time, and based on performance, some remote flexibility may be offered. Seniorities
