Medical Physicist – Cancer Center (13-Week Contract | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Monday–Friday)
The client seeking an experienced
Medical Physicist
for a 13-week assignment at a leading Cancer Center. This role supports advanced oncology services, radiation treatment planning, and quality assurance initiatives within a collaborative clinical team.
Job Summary The Medical Physicist will work within the 725A Cancer Center, supporting safe, accurate, and high-quality radiation therapy operations. Responsibilities include conducting equipment calibrations, performing treatment planning QA, supporting dosimetry teams, collaborating with oncologists, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional radiation safety standards. This position requires strong clinical physics knowledge and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity cancer center environment.
Requirements
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Medical Physicist
Proven experience with clinical radiation therapy physics, QA testing, and oncology workflows
Ability to meet winter holiday coverage expectations:
Must work
1 major holiday
(Christmas Day or New Year’s Day)
Must work
1 minor holiday
(Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)
