System Engineer Level 1-3 (CS)

Position Summary
The Kenjya-Trusant Group LLC is seeking a System Engineer (Levels 1‑3) to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction area. This position spans multiple levels and requires expertise in system engineering and complex systems‑of‑systems.
Essential Job Functions
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service‑oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.
Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination.
Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations.
Minimum Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Level 3
Twenty (20) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Level 2
Fourteen (14) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Level 1
Seven (7) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Additional required qualifications:
Systems engineering with a focus on complex systems of systems (TTO15).
Data Science, including natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML); data extraction and processing from unstructured/semi‑structured sources (e.g., PDFs, CONOPS, DODAF); qualitative analytical processes and data visualization; proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch; experience with data extraction and processing tools such as Apache Tika and PDFMiner.
Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Level 1 – $150,000.00 – $182,000.00
Level 2 – $195,000.00 – $235,000.00
Level 3 – $222,000.00 – $274,000.00
