A leading machinery manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join their growing engineering team in New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands‑on technical lead in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for high-performance industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems for custom machinery.
Develop HMI and SCADA solutions to ensure intuitive operation and system visibility.
Create detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated system solutions.
Support troubleshooting, testing, and on‑site commissioning activities.
Lead technical discussions with clients and vendors, ensuring alignment on project specifications and deliverables.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in system architecture, safety compliance, and automation standards.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
5+ years of experience designing and implementing industrial control systems.
Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
Experience with HMI/SCADA development and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
Strong understanding of control panel design and electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA 79).
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer site visits and commissioning.
Experience in machinery manufacturing or capital equipment environments.
Familiarity with motion control, robotics, or vision systems.
