The Clinical Program Director is responsible for the management and strategic growth of the Wound Care Program, including full oversight of the Wound Care Center (WCC®) and other wound care continuum programs. Key functions include day‑to‑day center operations, staff management, financial management, quality/performance improvement, community education, clinical oversight and collaborative relationships with hospitals.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities Manages the Center’s Operations (20%)
Oversees day‑to‑day management of outpatient clinic(s) and other wound care continuum programs.
Continuously assesses clinic flows, processes and procedures, identifies improvement areas, and implements best practices to improve outcomes.
Works with hospital and company personnel to ensure availability of adequate resources, supplies, equipment and services.
Facilitates flow of information and maximizes effective communication throughout the program.
Prioritizes responsibilities and directs work of clinical and non‑clinical staff.
Collaborates with other health care providers, WCC® Providers and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
Manages Direct Reports (5%)
Collaborates with company and hospital HR to interview, hire, motivate, coach, counsel, establish performance expectations and conduct performance reviews.
Performs Financial Management (10%)
Manages and coordinates the revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner, as appropriate.
Stays current with reimbursement changes and provides updates and education to physicians and staff.
Reviews financial reports, identifies key indicator trends and develops plans to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Tracks and reports all ancillary revenues generated by the program.
Manages costs through appropriate utilization of labor and supplies across the wound care continuum.
Works with the Healogics support team to complete financial reviews and presents results to hospital leadership.
Manages Community Education/Marketing Functions (20%)
Works directly with the hospital and Healogics marketing departments to develop strategic marketing plans and coordinate activities to increase patient referrals to the WCC®.
Collaborates as part of a multi‑functional team to target referral sources and build relationships that raise WCC® referrals.
Maintains an updated list of physician practices within a given radius.
Visits physician practices to provide awareness of the WCC® program, using educational marketing materials and documenting all interactions.
Communicates regularly with the (C)DO, (C)VPO and the hospital executive sponsor regarding goals, targets, and referral development information.
Manages Quality/Performance Improvement Functions (10%)
Implements and manages a continuous WCC® Performance Improvement Program (PIP) and strives to meet WCC® quality indicators.
Ensures integration of the program into the partner hospital’s PIP program.
Participates in hospital committees and ensures timely documentation in patient records and outcomes databases.
Monitors patient, physician and customer satisfaction.
Ensures patient safety guidelines are followed and employees complete all compliance requirements.
Manages Clinical Functions (20%)
Coordinates clinical activities and directs clinical staff work, including patient care assessment, planning, implementation and quality improvement.
Serves as case manager for wound care patients as needed, providing specific assessments and direct care according to protocols.
Performs hyperbaric duties as required, upon completion of Healogics Hyperbaric training.
May serve as hyperbaric safety director after completing required training.
Manages Relationships (15%)
Maintains excellent relationships with hospital clients and aligns program goals with hospital strategic objectives.
Builds effective working relationships with wound care program providers, clinical and support staff.
Encourages all program staff to provide excellent customer service to other hospital departments.
Other Duties as Required Performs additional duties as assigned by Healogics leadership.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials
Current RN license maintained throughout employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field and 1 year of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience (preferred).
OR Associate’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience.
OR 4+ years of marketing/community education or clinical operations experience.
Management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Competency in BLS (Basic Life Support).
Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation requirements for healthcare organizations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $87,200.00 and $115,700.00 annually. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, geography and operational needs.
