Air Proprietary Project Engineer (Lead or Senior) Join Boeing’s Digital Engineering team in St. Louis, Missouri (Hazelwood or Berkeley, MO). This role is part of Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) and focuses on building a future‑ready Digital Ecosystem comprised of interconnected technologies, platforms, and services.

Job Description In this position you will lead the maturation of the Digital Ecosystem, managing program planning, execution, and data‑management strategy. Responsibilities include enabling advanced data analytics, AI/ML, and streamlined collaboration with customers and stakeholders, integrating high‑performance compute resources, networking infrastructure, and service desk activities.

Position Responsibilities

Lead project execution to complete the work statement.

Identify performance metrics and use data to drive positive, predictable performance.

Implement rolling wave planning to adaptively plan for future work based on the capability roadmap, emerging technologies, and program priorities.

Support and lead Program Increment (PI) and Sprint planning activities, collaborating with Product Owners to define and prioritize the backlog for the upcoming PI.

Facilitate discussions to identify dependencies and risks, and develop and manage mitigation strategies.

Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration across teams.

Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

Work Environment & Travel • 100% onsite. • Travel may be required up to 10% domestically or internationally.

Security & Clearances • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required (U.S. citizenship required). A clearance active within the past 24 months counts as active. • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Level 4: Nine or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Level 5: 14 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Multi-disciplinary technical expertise in Model‑Based Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Data Science, including classified computing infrastructure and architecture; knowledge of DoD cyber security requirements.

Earned Value Management (EVM) Control Account Manager (CAM) experience and training.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM and integration with ERP/ MES systems.

Experience with collaboration, agile planning, and DevSecOps tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab).

Education & Experience Levels Lead (Level 4) Advanced technical education (Bachelor or equivalent) plus nine or more years of related experience.

Senior (Level 5) Advanced technical education (Bachelor or equivalent) plus 14 or more years of related experience.

Drug‑Free Workplace Boeing requires drug testing for post‑offer applicants and employees per company policies.

Work Shift First shift.

Total Rewards Competitive base pay with variable compensation. Pay ranges:

Lead

$114,750 – $155,250;

Senior

$140,250 – $189,750.
